Illustrated pharmacology flashcards, with real spaced repetition
No download required — MedOne runs entirely in your browser. Here's everything you need to know: what it is, how to access it, and how to use every part of it.
1. What is MedOne
MedOne is a web-based study platform built for pharmacology and nursing students. It delivers illustrated, front-and-back flashcards organized by subject and by drug, and schedules your reviews automatically using spaced repetition — the same principle used by evidence-based study methods, so material you already know comes back less often, and material you struggle with comes back more often.
What's included
- An illustrated flashcard library covering pharmacology topics, organized as Subject → Drug → Flashcard (for example: Pharmacology → Haloperidol → its flashcards).
- Smart Review, a spaced-repetition study mode that automatically prioritizes the cards you're actually due to review, with a calendar showing your upcoming workload.
- Flashcards, a free-browsing mode to explore the whole library by subject, drug, or tag, at your own pace.
- Favorites, so you can bookmark specific cards to revisit.
- A personal dashboard tracking cards studied, retention rate, streaks, and progress by subject.
How it works
Every flashcard has a front and a back. You look at the front, try to recall the answer, then flip the card to check yourself. In Smart Review, you then rate how well you remembered it — Again, Hard, Good, or Easy — and MedOne uses that rating to calculate exactly when that specific card should come back to you next: sooner if you struggled, later if you knew it well.
2. How to Access the Platform
Access to MedOne is granted after purchase. No app store download is needed — you access the product entirely through your web browser.
Step-by-step: creating your account

3. Getting Started
Once you're logged in, the left-hand menu is your main navigation. It has five sections:
Dashboard
Your home screen. It shows how many cards you've studied, your retention rate, your current study streak, your progress broken down by subject, a calendar of your recent activity, and your most recent study sessions.
Recommended first session
- 1
Open Smart Review
from the left menu.
- 2
Pick how many cards to study
Quick Test (10 cards), Medium Session (20 cards), Long Session (30 cards), or a custom amount.
- 3
Tap "Study"
to begin. The first card appears full-screen with a timer running at the top.
- 4
Try to recall the answer
then tap the card to flip it and check yourself.
- 5
Rate your recall
using the four buttons at the bottom — the app moves to the next card automatically.
4. Using Flashcards
The Flashcards tab is for free browsing — exploring the library at your own pace, without the spaced-repetition scheduling used in Smart Review.
Filtering the library
- Subject — the broad category, e.g. Pharmacology.
- Topic — the specific drug within that subject, e.g. Haloperidol, Amoxicillin, Metformin. This list updates automatically based on the subject you picked.
- Tag — free-text search across card tags (e.g. "anticoagulant").
Studying a set
- 1
Apply your filters
then choose how many cards to browse.
- 2
Tap "Browse"
to enter a distraction-free, full-screen session.
- 3
Tap the card to flip
between front and back.
- 4
Tap the star icon
on any card to save it to your Favorites.
- 5
Rate if you like
You can still rate cards here (Again / Hard / Good / Easy) — your ratings always update your personal review schedule, whether you study from Flashcards or from Smart Review.
5. Using Smart Review
Smart Review is where spaced repetition happens. Instead of showing you the whole library in order, it prioritizes the cards that are actually due for review today, based on your own study history.
The rating buttons
After flipping a card, rate how well you remembered it. Each button shows exactly when that card will come back to you if you pick it:
~10 min
Again
~1 day
Hard
~3 days
Good
~1 week
Easy
| Again | You got it wrong or didn't remember at all. |
| Hard | You got it right, but slowly or with a lot of doubt. |
| Good | You recalled it correctly with normal effort. |
| Easy | You recalled it instantly, with no effort. |
Upcoming Reviews calendar
Before starting a session, Smart Review shows a monthly calendar with a purple heatmap: darker days mean more cards are due to review that day. Above it, "Today's Load" tells you exactly how many cards are due right now and roughly how long they'll take to clear.
Recent Mistakes
A running list of cards you recently rated "Again" — a quick way to see what you're currently struggling with.
Ending a session early
Tap the × button in the top-left corner at any time to end the session and see your summary — how many cards you reviewed, your rating breakdown, and how long the session took.
6. Favorites & My Account
Favorites
Any card you star — in Flashcards or in Smart Review — is saved here. Use it to build a personal shortlist of cards you want to revisit often, independent of the spaced-repetition schedule.
My Account
On this page you can:
- View the email associated with your account.
- Update your display name.
- See your account type (Student or Administrator).
- Log out of the current device.
7. Frequently Asked Questions
Do I need to install anything?
No. MedOne is a web application — just open medoneflashcards.app in any modern browser and log in.
Which email should I register with?
Always the same email address used at the time of purchase. This is how your access is linked to your order.
Can I use MedOne on my phone?
Yes. The interface adapts to mobile browsers — no separate app is required.
What happens if I close the app mid-session?
Every rating you give is saved immediately, so your progress up to that point is never lost. Simply log back in and start a new session — Smart Review will pick up with whatever is due.
How is my next review date calculated?
MedOne uses a spaced-repetition algorithm: each rating adjusts an "ease factor" and interval for that specific card, so difficult cards resurface sooner and easy cards resurface later.
I forgot my password. What do I do?
Contact support with the email you registered with so your access can be verified and a new password set up.
